Mariupol - a city in southeastern Ukraine on the Azov Sea coast. One of the most important centers of metallurgy and engineering, the largest seaport of Ukraine. Climate and mud resort. Mariupol is among the ten largest cities in Ukraine.
History: Mariupol known since the beginning of the XVI century as a Cossack fortress, was proud of the captivity of the Greeks. Founded in 1778. when he was laid county town of Pavlovsk, which in 1779 was named Mariupol.
